Building Sentences
Aims
This activity is designed to:
- test your child's ability to read each word in a sentence
- test your child's ability to put words in the correct order to make sentences
- encourage your child to pay attention and join in a learning activity for short periods of time
When to use this activity
Use this activity when your child can successfully match sentences in the book with the appropriate picture.
Word choices
We list suggested words to omit for each sentence in each book in the record forms. These are preprogrammed into the app editions.
We recommend starting with just one word to position to teach the goal of the activity. You can then offer two or more words to position.
